Cinnamon Ice Cream

This is fantastic over anything apple! You do need an ice cream maker for this recipe.

1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup half-and-half
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 teaspoons cinnamon

In a medium saucepan mix and heat sugar and half-and-half to a simmer. REmove from heat and vigerously whisk half of the mixture into the beaten eggs. Pour the new egg mixture back into the saucepan with the remaining half of the sugar mixture, and add cream. Cook over med-low heat until thick. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and cinnamon. Cool completely before pouring into ice cream maker.
